About Sabrina K. Photography:

Welcome to my blog! I'm Sabrina Koogler, and I love photography! I always have my nose in a photography book, camera to my face, working on a challenge, workshop, or contest (in between sessions and processing!) becoming the best photographer I can be! I used to teach high school Spanish, and now I'm a stay-at-home mom to two adorable, rascally boys. Sabrina K Photography is my third baby, born of the need to document all of the milestones, wild times, and quiet moments of my children and others. My style is fun and natural. I seek to document the authentic "you" in my images. I offer custom portraiture in the Houston area, and I'm based in Pearland. I enjoy working with natural light and studio lighting--it's fun having a dual-sort of personality! And it certainly keeps things interesting!

Houston Family Session: Bubbles and Laybugs

    Thursday, April 19th, 2012

I honestly can say I had never been to the Waterwall  until this weekend. It was a whole lot of fun, and since the weather was a bit dreary, that kept the engagement photographers away. I have to tell you, there’s not a lot of “cool” stuff in Houston, but I think this location was pretty cool. When you get up close to the waterwall there’s this sense of vertigo–am I up or down? It’s really cool, and I was thrilled Mom suggested this as a nontraditional location for a family session. It was one of my favorites to date, and I am just so excited!

I met the fam last year when little miss was a newborn. What a doll she was then and a sweet spunky little princess she is now! This was their first family photo session together, and it was such an honor to get to do it!

We weren’t quite ready but little miss was getting some great Daddy cuddles

    Cutest. face. ever!

    Sweet sisters

    Add some bubbles…

    And happiness abounds

Be still, my heart, just LOOK at those eyes!!! And I love the thumb!

It’s a 50-foot waterfall, if I am remembering correctly. Very cool.

    TICKLES!

    Love her “serious” face!

    And her “sweet” face

And this was such a fun one.  .. at the end I was like “oh, I just got this new lens, let me do some eyelash shots?” and Mom and I were SO on the same page and she was all: “Oh yes, that’s exactly what I want because I did that with (older sister) and was going to try to get that done at the same place”. I just LOVE when we’re totally in sync:

Sweet girls, sweet sweet family. Thanks again for sharing with me!

    Six Months Times Two

    Wednesday, April 11th, 2012

I just can’t get enough of these cuties! I cannot believe six months has flown by!

And I can’t believe these two keep getting cuter every time I see them!

Yes, he is totally holding her hand. Just like in their newborn photos. Gasp! Love!!!

Mom gets all the credit for the following cuteness. I cannot believe how precious these two are in these cute outfits!

(can you tell Mom takes a lot of pictures! These two are well-trained in front of the camera!)

Thanks again for sharing your family with me! Cutest kiddos ever!!!!

    First Birthday Monkey Business!

    Tuesday, April 10th, 2012

I met this sweet little man a year ago at his newborn session and those long eyelashes totally stole my heart! I met up with his family again at ONE YEAR and *gasp* he’s even more adorable now! What a precious little man! He was absolutely too cute for words! Mom had done some awesome prep work with adorable outfits, favorite toys to make the session meaningful, and his fun outfit and hat from his SOCK MONKEY-theme birthday party. It was a party in the studio for sure, as this little guy was ready to GO!

(Don’t judge me for how behind I am on blogging! Yes, he was here when I was doing my baby chick mini-sessions (I visited those sweet cheep-cheeps yesterday and they are HUGE, by the way!!))

Sweet family. I think he’s a total combination of Mom and Dad in his features.

Oh that smile! You think he’s up to something? Like escaping out his this chair!

I just can’t get enough of those sweet baby toes poking out of this truck! I love the Tonka truck (so do my boys!). It’s quickly becoming my favorite boy prop!

He just is too precious for words, isn’t he?

I like how busy he looks here!

I love this little outdoorsman in training!

He was not interested in being a baby sandwich but gave me some more of those long eyelashes!

    Love his coordinating hat!

I love the big smiles this toy brought out! I always recommend bringing favorite toys–especially walking toys for my one-year-olds since walking is often a kind of new milestone and makes those sweet babies happier!

Then we brought out that mean ol’ cake!

Not so sure about that messy, sugary stuff!

Thank you again for coming in and sharing your family with me again!!!

Extended Family: Mr. C is turning ONE!

    Thursday, April 5th, 2012

I love extended family sessions. It’s always such a special moment when the family gets together. I love the interactions between the generations. There’s something truly special about grandparents and their grandbabies!

I met up with this family to document their sweet little one who is just about to turn one. What a fun time we had together!

I absolutely love that the dogs participated!

He gave Dad a look like “What on earth are you doing?”. It was the cutest thing!

    Playing with Nana and Gramps.

Heavens, I think this was my favorite from the session. A little Nana love.

Here Mr. C is playing with some of his favorite toys, completely oblivious to (or totally ignoring!) me!

This horse is very special–it was one Nana rode on when she was a little girl. I love when we can incorporate meaningful items and locations into a session.

    Ladykiller eyelashes, for sure!

We went for a little walk to the park…

Wrestled with Mommy a little bit…

    One-arm push-ups, anyone?

And we finished with some Daddy love!

Thanks again for having me out to celebrate this milestone!!! Happy birthday, Mr. C!
