So here is my super-belated sneak peek from my Spring/Easter mini-sessions from a few weekends ago. I guess it’s only 11 days ago, but I’ve been so busy it feels like eternity!
I have to say that I enjoyed me 48-hours as a chicken-rancher. I really enjoyed the sounds of their sweet peeps. I love how my boys loved them. I love how all the kids really thought they were pretty awesome! But I also love that they went to their new home to peep (and poop) and lay eggs and scratch and crow the very next day. I always was hesitant to do a “live animal” session because I was not sure how humane it was. I can tell you with complete confidence that these chicks were treated with kid gloves and it was very humane. I purchased them from a hatchery that agreed to take them back, but one of my friends saw how cute they were and added them to her existing brood of hens. (Is that right, brood? I have learned a LOT about chickens, but maybe not all the finer points!)
Well, enough of my yammering and on to the chicks! Here is a massive share!!!
I LOVE the progression with every child with the chicks–there was some uncertainty, curiosity, and then usually lots of happiness!

O my goodness this big smile is one of my top two favorites from the WHOLE DAY!!!!!!

Okay totally my favorite of the day. Her face his is absolutely PRICELESS!!!

Whew! Did you get enough cuteness! I really enjoyed these mini-sessions and hope they become an annual event! Cheep cheep!

I could post so many things with the theme of love. My family. My life as a Christian. My new camera bag. But this really touched my heart and I knew it had to be this. My big guy was so excited last week to show me how to make a heart with your hands (he learned it at school). I made the “love” wallpaper/overlay as part of the “trying something new” that I’m wanting to get out of this year of challenges. Was pretty okay with how it turned out!
