About Sabrina K. Photography:

Welcome to my blog! I'm Sabrina Koogler, and I love photography! I always have my nose in a photography book, camera to my face, working on a challenge, workshop, or contest (in between sessions and processing!) becoming the best photographer I can be! I used to teach high school Spanish, and now I'm a stay-at-home mom to two adorable, rascally boys. Sabrina K Photography is my third baby, born of the need to document all of the milestones, wild times, and quiet moments of my children and others. My style is fun and natural. I seek to document the authentic "you" in my images. I offer custom portraiture in the Houston area, and I'm based in Pearland. I enjoy working with natural light and studio lighting--it's fun having a dual-sort of personality! And it certainly keeps things interesting!

    Happy Valentine’s Day

    Tuesday, February 14th, 2012

I never know if it’s “Valentine’s” or “Valentines’ “. I should know this–I did major in English, right?

Anyway. . .just thought I’d share some of my sweeties on this day of love.

    Herding cats, I tell you!

    Everything is better with candy.

    Nom nom!

This is his James Bond face, for sure!

I hope you all are enjoying your V-Day! Personally, all I asked for was a day without cooking! And maybe some chocolate!

    Laissez les bon temps rouler

(or something like that–I was a Spanish teacher, remember!)

It’s Mardi Gras time! Time to enjoy King Cakes. Collect some beads without doing anything that would make your grandma blush.  Enjoy some music, food, and adult beverages!

We don’t actually do anything for Mardi Gras, but this year I ran the Galveston Mardi Gras marathon. It was wet, cold, windy, and made for a great story! Thank goodness I have no desire to run 26.2 miles again for a very, very long time! And my very generous brother-in-law gave my kiddos a really impressive pile of beads to play with. So combined with one of my favorite backdrop colors and a willing child (oh, and a kid’s meal from Burger King for the hat–yes, I am confessing to feeding my children fast food this week!) and working with an online studio-lighting workshop through Clickin Moms with the fantabulous Jessica Gwozdz photography–voila!

(I could not convince my model to wear anything other than his camo pajama pants. Oh my)

    Let those good times roll!!!

    Our own Christmas cheer

    Wednesday, December 21st, 2011

So the Christmas portraits in our house this year. . .well, it’s a long story. Let’s just say I now have a new perspective on what my clients go through.

I was going to say more, but I’m going to leave it at that.

    Ahem…

I did get a few shots of my kids before giving up entirely. We had some technical difficulty. There was no reshoot. Cutting my losses.

Here’s my dapper dude. He’s actually been willing to pose for me lately. It’s a new phase. I’ll take it!

And here are his muscles. ..

    And his handsome smile. ..

And then we have number two. ..

Who would only sit while holding a car.

    I love them laughing together.

And laughing at my assistant (AKA “Daddy”).

And the “money” shot for the Christmas card.

Then I pushed my luck to get “just one more”. Lollipop and all.

My model adjusting his tie for me.

I love this little rocking chair. But it takes quite a bit of abuse!

The cheesiest cheese-smile yet. He gave us this one for his pics with Santa. Cheese dog!

Merry Christmas from our house to yours!

    Christmastime is here. . .

    Happiness and cheer. ..

okay, so those are all the words I know to the Charlie Brown Christmas song, even after hearing it a bazillion times.

I love how these cute cousins just absolutely sparkle in greys and blacks. In fact, I love their wardrobe so much, my boys might just look a bit like this next year. ;-)   (Yes, I am already planning NEXT Christmas’ outfits. Truly, I should be a little more concerned about this year’s considering a certain 4-year-old wore his Christmas shirt to school and painted without a smock and Shout did NOT get the stains out! LOL!)

But here are some adorable kiddos brimming with personality and Christmas cheer!

Methinks this one is a little heartbreaker.

His sister is just too cute as well…

Her dress was breathtaking. Think they make that in my size???

And a sweet cousin met them to round out the day’s cuteness:

That tie just cracks me up! I love it!

And the whole gang together. . .

Finally these two sweethearts again. Love the expression!

Thanks again for a fun holiday session! Can’t wait to see you all again!!
