About Sabrina K. Photography:

Welcome to my blog! I'm Sabrina Koogler, and I love photography! I always have my nose in a photography book, camera to my face, working on a challenge, workshop, or contest (in between sessions and processing!) becoming the best photographer I can be! I used to teach high school Spanish, and now I'm a stay-at-home mom to two adorable, rascally boys. Sabrina K Photography is my third baby, born of the need to document all of the milestones, wild times, and quiet moments of my children and others. My style is fun and natural. I seek to document the authentic "you" in my images. I offer custom portraiture in the Houston area, and I'm based in Pearland. I enjoy working with natural light and studio lighting--it's fun having a dual-sort of personality! And it certainly keeps things interesting!

I have so much to say about this session but really no words express how much this baby is loved and what a miracle he is:

Wonder if he’s going to get his Dad’s height?

    Love an adoring Daddy-to-be!

    She’s so radiant!!!

Mom made this with Dad’s old Legos.

Big LOVE. Big God. Big sky.

Thanks again for sharing your family with me! I can’t wait to meet Mr. C in just a few weeks!!!!!

    Loved!

I had the opportunity to work with this lovely extended family this weekend, and here is just a sneak peek! (we did A LOT–I may have to do a second sneak or just hurry up and blog the whole thing!) This baby girl is LOVED, folks, let me tell you! She’s got the whole extended family wrapped around those darling little fingers! And why not–she’s the most adorable little girl ever! It was a delight to work with this family and to see how much love the grandparents, auntie and uncle, mom and dad have for this sweet baby girl! And let me tell you this family totally knows how to dress! When I say “pick a color or two, then add a mix of patterns and solids and some textures and accessories”, THIS is what I mean. Fabulous! Thank you! Baby girl can’t help but be a fashionista with such stunning models in her family!

Okay, and I’m totally going to warn you that these first images with her grandfather (papa, papi, granddad–she’ll decide what to call him!) really kind of choke me up. See what I mean about being loved? He learned a year ago this very weekend that he was going to be a granddad in the same room where we took many of the images. What a great fathers’ day gift!

Oh, and can an entire family have more gorgeous eyes? Nope. Beautiful eyes. Stunning.

Thanks for having me over to document such a wonderful occasion! Can’t wait to show you the rest!

I better hurry up with this sneak peek. . .

    …they know where I live.

    (Because they’re my neighbors)

Which is funny, because since all of the mini-session models came to my in-home studio for the session, they ALL know where I live.

    But I guess that’s besides the point. . .

Mom is one of the funniest people I know. The person who is your Facebook friend who makes you LOL, LMBO, ROFL, etc.  The one who solves the unsolved mysteries, like when I found a pink sock in my laundry that was NOT mine, she totally had the best answer! (Seriously, it is NOT my sock and was not “once white but washed with reds and now pink”!) Anyway. .  .I’m glad to have them as neighbors!

Here’s  a sneak peek. Mom also confessed that they have not had a family portrait made since before baby girl was born. Um. Get thee to a portrait studio! Today! I don’t care if it’s me or someone else! Document your family with all its members!

Okay, enough talk–let’s get to the good stuff!

(It was toward the end of the day and I was getting a little tired of the white backdrop so turned off some lights and *voila!* grey!)

(BTW, I love how Mom dressed the family with a combination of solids and patterns. She picked color for the family and tied it all together in baby girl’s dress. This is really what I mean when I say: “Pick a color or two or three, then add some patterns and texture to tie it all together!” Way to go, Mom!)

    The dudes.

And all because two people fell in love.  ..

Awwww. . . okay, can’t wait to show you the rest! Thanks so much for coming in to be my models!!!

    Whew!

Can I get a weekend to recover from my weekend?

I’m going to spare you the witty banter because, honestly, I am tuckered out!

But I couldn’t end the night without a teensy weensy sneak peak from a super-fun and colorful session from this weekend’s minis!

Mom, you did such an awesome job dressing your gorgeous crew! It was wonderful seeing you all! Can’t wait to show you all that we got!

    More to come!
