About Sabrina K. Photography:

Welcome to my blog! I'm Sabrina Koogler, and I love photography! I always have my nose in a photography book, camera to my face, working on a challenge, workshop, or contest (in between sessions and processing!) becoming the best photographer I can be! I used to teach high school Spanish, and now I'm a stay-at-home mom to two adorable, rascally boys. Sabrina K Photography is my third baby, born of the need to document all of the milestones, wild times, and quiet moments of my children and others. My style is fun and natural. I seek to document the authentic "you" in my images. I offer custom portraiture in the Houston area, and I'm based in Pearland. I enjoy working with natural light and studio lighting--it's fun having a dual-sort of personality! And it certainly keeps things interesting!

    Canvas. Big. On my wall.

    Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011

I want this image BIG on my wall. It’s not even my family, and I want it on display in my house. Seriously, I am a sucker for a silhouette. I think my favorite aspect of the silhouette is how even though you can’t see too many details, SO much personality comes through in the image anyway.

Awesome family this weekend. I know this is just a tease, but more to come!

    Loved!

    Tuesday, June 21st, 2011

I had the opportunity to work with this lovely extended family this weekend, and here is just a sneak peek! (we did A LOT–I may have to do a second sneak or just hurry up and blog the whole thing!) This baby girl is LOVED, folks, let me tell you! She’s got the whole extended family wrapped around those darling little fingers! And why not–she’s the most adorable little girl ever! It was a delight to work with this family and to see how much love the grandparents, auntie and uncle, mom and dad have for this sweet baby girl! And let me tell you this family totally knows how to dress! When I say “pick a color or two, then add a mix of patterns and solids and some textures and accessories”, THIS is what I mean. Fabulous! Thank you! Baby girl can’t help but be a fashionista with such stunning models in her family!

Okay, and I’m totally going to warn you that these first images with her grandfather (papa, papi, granddad–she’ll decide what to call him!) really kind of choke me up. See what I mean about being loved? He learned a year ago this very weekend that he was going to be a granddad in the same room where we took many of the images. What a great fathers’ day gift!

Oh, and can an entire family have more gorgeous eyes? Nope. Beautiful eyes. Stunning.

Thanks for having me over to document such a wonderful occasion! Can’t wait to show you the rest!

    Maternity

    Friday, June 17th, 2011

Okay, so this wonderful family started off my mini-sessions last weekend. I worked with them last year when their big boy was not quite so big but still just as darling. Well, maybe he’s gotten cuter. Probably so.  He’s absolutely the most precious little dude!

I just love being around this family. It’s so clear how totally loving they are. It’s just so refreshing that they are so happy together and relaxed and natural–even in a studio setting. It was a wonderful session! Thanks so much you guys! Oh, and since this is a maternity session, they are adding a very lucky little brother to the mix.  He is seriously one lucky little fella!

Can you get enough of big brother’s curls? Or his air guitar? Little man knows how to ROCK!

Again, it was so fun seeing you all again and having fun in front of the camera! Can’t wait to meet your new addition!!

    Brothers

    Thursday, June 16th, 2011

My husband knows he’s in trouble every time I go out to do a newborn session, and this time was no different! I met sweet little G last weekend and I couldn’t get enough of him! He had the sweetest wrinkly skin on his legs! I loooove me some wrinkly newborn skin! Even better, we share the same birthday! I got to love on him at only nine days old. What a doll! Big Brother was a real trooper and worked with us for some wonderful images! I can’t believe I met his Big Brother when he was just one–now he’s such a big boy! I love brothers and how the interact! My boys both need another brother, too, don’t you think?? ;-)

Mom mentioned how she wanted some of her boys together so here are some sneaks. (I think big brother was not completely sure that we should put the baby in his tractor, but it was a fun idea that Dad had so we went with it and I think it turned out really fun!)

He pretty much has the most perfect newborn skin I’ve ever seen (thanks, Mom!!!). Just absolutely adorable! Can’t wait to have the whole session ready for you!! It was great getting together again!!!
